Beaumont, California – Russ Bogh announced that he has entered the race for Riverside County’s 5th Supervisorial District.

When sizing up the field of candidates in this race, only Russ Bogh offers the legislative and business experience needed to lead Riverside County. Currently, there is a $100 million budget deficit that has affected vital services across the community, jeopardizing public safety and first-responder staffing levels.

“I made the decision to seek the Fifth District Supervisorial seat because I want to play a more active role in the important financial decisions we need to make about our roads, criminal justice system and core county services,” he said. “My experience in a private-sector company and as an elected official has prepared me to successfully represent the diverse needs in our county.”

Bogh served in the State Assembly from 2001 to 2006 which represented parts of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. While in office, he worked on bipartisan solutions to improve public safety, increase local control and maintain balanced budgets. His experience in Sacramento will contribute to the understanding and knowledge that he brings to the table when discussing the issues facing Riverside County.

Since leaving office, Russ has spent the last decade with his family and growing the family business, Bogh Construction & Bogh Engineering, which specialize in building public schools around the Inland Empire. His family has been in business for over 55 years.

Bogh grew up in Beaumont, California and attended California State University San Bernardino where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Economics. He and his wife Sheri reside in Beaumont with their three children Madison, Charlie and Katie where he is active in local AYSO soccer as a coach and volunteer.

“The County of Riverside is at a crossroads, facing huge challenges that threaten our quality of life and the safety of our families,” Bogh stated, “I am committed and will work hard to make our communities safer and more affordable places to live, do business, and raise a family.”
